When Gregor, a poor 13 year old boy loses his dad he is heartbroken. But his life is about to change when he, and his little sister, Boots, get sucked down a laundry vent and into the Underland, a place where Bats, Rats, Spiders and Cocroaches live side by side with humans. When Gregor goes on a quest to find his father, the inhabitants believe he is the chosen warrior to lead the Underland through a war. Gregor takes this chance and leads a small pack of each type of inhabitant to find his father, being only lead by an ancient prophecy to reveal the secrets of the Underland.

This book is a thriller parody to the Hunger pains. Kantkiss Neverclean lives in a house with her mother, sister Prin and cat Butterball which may or may not be a dog.
When Prin gets selected for the Hunger games on Super Fun Day, Kantkiss volunteers, or so everyone thinks. Along with Pita Malarkey they journey to the capitol to be trained by Buttitch Totalapathy. Along the way the pair meet lots of new people, Cinnabon, Flabbiest, Octopus, and many more! But who will survive the Hunger games!

Here are the first two books in one of my favourite series. This is the Fire series and it is about a young man called David Rain.
He is a University student in the small town of Scrubbley. But his very peaceful life is about to end as he moves in with Liz a pottery dragon maker and Lucy, her daughter. But soon weird things start happening as the cat Bonnington shape changes and Liz's dragons start coming to life. He is made his own dragon as a gift which can change the future. But as David bonds with this family, he realises that they are all in danger.

Explain the task
In groups we had to read a book week shortlisted book and develop questions based on the book. Then we had to choose a suitable quiz website and use it to make our shortlisted book quiz. Our book was "For all creatures"
What did you enjoy most about this task?
Actually making the quiz was a lot of fun although when I run through it now I see quite a lot of typos.
What was your biggest challenge?
Making the questions would have to have been the biggest challenge because it was hard to even think of the questions needed and then in the middle of the task I had to change the most difficult question of all because someone else had done it.
Which skill did you find the most useful?
The skill I found the most useful is probably fast typing because whenever we went to do the quiz we were always near the end of the end of the lesson, so it was probably the reason we finished at all.
List 2 ways this task could help you in your future learning?
1. It helped me to develop some difficult questions so it could help me again later on in question asking. 2. It helped me learn about selecting a website to use, for example, we had to use a sheet to determine which quiz we were going to use and that sheet really helped

Book Trailer Task Your task is to create an eye-catching Book Trailer that will promote your book to other students. Use images, video, animation, music and words to create your book trailer. Try to use copyright friendly sources. Your presentation should be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes.
GOAL : To recognise and interpret the main themes of a story by creating a short book trailer which promotes the book.
Reflection What did you enjoy most about this task? I enjoyed looking for music because lots of the tunes were either funny or really relaxing especially Cold killer A.K.A James Bond music.
What was your biggest challenge? Our biggest challenge was finding the Hunger Games images on Flickrcc because lots of the images on Flickrcc are different to the ones on Google images so we had to try heaps of different names to get the images we wanted.
What skills did you learn during this task? I learnt how to use Freeplay music and that Freeplay music isn't that bad, it's actually quite good.
